What you do every day:
I am a proud member of the Contract Administration Team. I work on the Billing and Reporting side. My daily duties are to review the bill side of the startfiles as they come in, enter and update purchase orders on a ongoing basis, check and process expenses, Enter timesheets, manual invoicing and much much more…

Favourite thing about Sapphire Canada?
My favourite thing about Sapphire Canada is the people. From the first moment that I walked through the front doors of Sapphire Canada I was greeted with a smile and a warm feeling. As each day has gone by, the warmth that I felt has developed into stability and comfort. The people here at Sapphire Canada are like family. One word that comes to mind every time I think of the people here is, "UNITED". I can honestly say that I enjoy coming into work everyday. I strongly believe that one of the best feelings in the world when you leave work on a daily basis feeling content and good about what you have accomplished that day, whether it be helping the people you work side by side with, or clients that have thanked you for your patience and help.

Why ATS Reliance?
As with a lot of people I fell into the Agency business by accident.  My father worked for a mining equipment company in Burlington and used ATS Reliance to hire engineers.  I was going to University and needed a summer job, so he called ATS and asked if I could come in to work for them.  I started by updating files, calling old contractors/candidates ….but what I saw was a company that loved what they were doing.  I noticed recruiters, sales people and managers who had been with the company for 10 or 20 years and that was something I wanted to explore more.  I came to work as a recruiter full time after graduating.  ATS is more than a company, they are family.  We work hard and play hard and every employee is treated like a person, not a number.

What do you do every day?

My first and foremost role is that of a full time Recruiter.  My job is to find qualified candidates for our clients.  I qualify them properly for our open job opportunities then try to organize interviews, reference checks and hopefully job offers.  The role of a recruiter is focused on developing relationships with candidates, some of which have lasted for years and years.  On top of my role as a full time Recruiter, as Recruiting Manager my job is to supervise our team of recruiters, guide them on their daily task list, look after any new hiring, training or disciplinary measures that are needed. I also help with corporate wide initiatives such as our Recruiter of the Month contest and upgrades to our internal database.

Favourite thing about ATS Reliance?

I love that fact that my company has a vested interest in my personal success.  ATS Reliance was built on a belief that people are our greatest resource.  The greater our company success, the greater my personal success and vice versa.  We believe in the strength of our people and that is demonstrated by the length of service of our employees in an industry that has traditionally had high turnover.  People have been with ATS for 25 years and there is a reason for that.  Where else can you have a challenging exciting career, make great money and have lifelong friends at the same time.

What first attracted me to Randstad was the slogan, "Good to know you." That was it! I'd found a people-focused organization where people are the top priority. And I wanted to join a solid company with an excellent worldwide reputation. Later I realized how my decision had changed my day-to-day life. I've got a terrific team, a boss who listens and loyal clients who have become partners.

What do you do every day?
I started as a staffing consultant, then moved to division manager and branch manager before being put in charge of business development for the province of Quebec. In this position, my role is to offer Quebec companies the best value-added services and solutions. This involves meeting with prospective business partners, developing customized proposals and presenting them with all the options. This market has such huge potential, and my goal is to ensure that we continue to grow!

What's your favourite thing about Randstad Canada?
No question, it’s the people. We have a fantastic team of talented staff and managers who love what they do. And in this booming industry, there's still plenty of room for development. To me, Randstad succeeds because of its innovative approach to the reality of today's job market.
